Set in six acres of private woodland, on the bank of it's own little lake, in the beautiful Perigord Vert region of Dordogne, S.W. France, this exclusive little cabin has everything you need to make a memorable honeymoon for environmentally aware couples. Cosy and romantic, the whole ethos of the cabin is to provide a welcome retreat with minimal impact on the environment.

Use of the tandem bike. Cycling is one of the best ways to see the beautiful local countryside and the tandem never fails to make you (and everyone else you see) smile!.....
Of course, you're free to do as much or as little as you like, but we'll be happy to help organise trips out for you. Canoeing, vineyards, visits to the market or a picnic lunch in a secluded spot.... the choice is yours.

The cabin is 'off-grid', but that doesn't mean you have to forego modern comforts. (Well, not all of them!) Lighting is provided by candles, solar and oil lamps. It has a fully equipped kitchen area, with gas cooker and fridge and is kept toasty warm in the winter by the woodburning stove, which also heats the water for the outside shower/w.c.
Ecologically, the cabin has a low carbon impact. It was built from windfall wood from the forest it stands in and other reclaimed materials. Water is raised by a wind pump and filtered, making it fine for all purposes other than drinking. (Drinking water is provided.) Firewood is gathered from the surrounding forest, waste is recycled/composted and eco-friendly cleaning products are used wherever possible.
