Penrhos is a gem of an old manor farm, 700 years old, buried in the half-tamed border country between Herefordshire and Wales. It is the perfect setting for your green wedding. Wedding banquets are prepared in the award-winning kitchen by chef/nutritionist Daphne Lambert and each menu is individually created with foods that are connected with passion and love are a strong inspiration - in Spring, the first green shoots of asparagus and the yellow primrose flower, in Summer, red roses, strawberries and sweet ripe peaches, in mellow Autumn the season brings figs, honey and the richness of saffron and in Winter, warming spices of ginger, cardamom and nutmeg.
For your wedding celebrations you have exclusive use of the whole of Penrhos. This includes the Elizabethan room, Medieval Cruck Hall, Courtyard, Byre and 15 bedrooms and 2 apartments. We hold a civil ceremony licence so the entire wedding can take place at Penrhos. Your wedding becomes a house party for your family and friends when, the day before, you all get together and help to prepare. Then on your big day - the ceremony, photographs, drinks and a celebration meal, followed by an evening party and the next morning, the first breakfast of your new life recounting yesterday's memories and plan for the future with friends.
When you are ready to arrange a meeting at Penrhos Court, please phone or email and we will help with information and planning and answer as many questions as you can think of.
